Our Work.

Health and Safety

At Nationwide Brickwork we address Health and Safety as importantly as building the projects themselves.

There is no compromise or substitute for safety. We at Nationwide Brickwork ensure that our employees or sub-contractors have the correct skills, knowledge, training and experience to keep the working environment safe through their working day.

Whether we are building a multimillion pound school project or a small domestic extension we have safety is in the forefront of our minds and actions.

At the start of a project we prepare a safety folder which is site specific for the up and coming works. This collection of safety information is updated on a weekly basis by our safety conscious supervisors that have been trained up to SMSTS with full first aid training incorporated into their skills.

All Nationwide Brickwork staff are given an induction before they can proceed on to site. Topics covered as a minimum required are site specific method statements, guiding the safest way to carry out their daily tasks without compromise.

Risk Assessments

Each risk is evaluated and assessment are made by determining if the risk can be reduced or eliminated. This reduces the chance off accidents occurring in the work place. Tool box talks are carried out by Nationwide Brickwork supervisors & managers to the workers twice a week, choosing topics that are relevant to the works being carried out for that particular week. Discussions range from working at heights to slips and falls Nationwide Brickwork covers all aspects to high standards.

External safety visits are carried out on a monthly basis by Nationwide Brickwork’s safety advisors. This enables us to monitor all health and safety regulations not just with our workers but on site too.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

It is Important to Nationwide Brickwork that our workers and staff have the correct PPE for the tasks they need to perform. We also ensure that our PPE is not worn out and fits the user correctly.

At Nationwide Brickwork all our staff and workers are fully trained and hold current CSCS cards to their correct level or above. We also carry out mock CSCS test refresher courses to keep everyone thinking safely.

Don’t Walk By. If you see an unsafe act report it to your supervisor immediately. You could save a life.
